| Coach Lafon's trip to Japan was packed with Judo events. He attended the Tokyo Grand Slam, visited the Mifune Judan Museum where he practiced with the club's children, and then taught a session at the Yamagata University Medical School Judo Club, our sister club in Northern Japan.

Coach Lafon was one of three clinicians at the well-attended USJA/USJF Winter Nationals Coach Certification Course in Claremont, CA.

| Our second annual combined Halloween party and Friday Night at the Fights. Lots of good fights, good food and scary kids...and adults.

Amin Horeh is the winner of this month's award for exhibiting good sportsmanship during our September tournament. He gave his bronze medal to his teammate, who was in the same division and was injured just before they had a chance to fight the last match.

| We removed an obstacle to getting our moms to try Judo. We now have a class for moms that meets at the same time their children's class meets.

Coach Lafon traveled to Tokyo, Japan to watch the World Championships, and to get the pulse of the international Judo community. |

Natalie Lafon earned a silver medal in the El Salvador World Cup tournament. This moves her back up to #1 at 52kg in the U.S.

We knocked down some walls to enlarge our mat and spectator area. It's still a work in progress, but the majority of our project is complete.

We visited Judo America El Centro and participated in its second tournament. The club just moved into permanent facilities.
